Climate notes for October 15th 2023

I’m delighted to have been to Amsterdam this week to check the city out (a bit) while working. My main take-away is that Dublin has a monstrous mountain to climb to get even close to how good it is there for cycling. But it’s worth trying because their city is so wonderful to be in as a pedestrian, train user or cyclist.

• Train + Ferry ticket. How are we not incentivising people to take trains in Ireland is beyond me. I was able to get from Amsterdam to Rotterdam for less than €40 return and less than an hour’s journeytime. I should be able to do similar with Galway or Cork.
